Welcome to the Pavely Photography Blog. As a Pittsburgh Tribune-Review photojournalist for more than 20 years, I got my experience in sports, commercial, portrait, higher education, and real estate photo shoots.

A lot of the pictures posted here will sports photography. Whether it is from the youth sports leagues that I regularly cover (baseball, basketball, soccer, swimming, diving, martial arts, lacrosse...) or professional sports here in Pittsburgh (primarily the Pirates-Steelers-Penguins), I will share with you some of my favorite images. So whether it is from the sandlot to the Super Bowl, sit back and enjoy.

From time-to-time I will re-visit my old newspaper photo archives and relive some of my favorite moments. Other posts will include some of my recent shoots for USA Today Sports Images as well as other freelance jobs I post. I have been fortunate enough to be assigned to cover the MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL, and NHL forUSA Today.

In my spare time, I like to photograph my kids as they participate in their activities. These pictures will also be peppered through the posts.

Thank you for taking the time to browse through my collection of pictures past and present.
